From the 1970s through the 1990s
Starting in 1996, new cartoons produced by Time Warner come to television in
Superman: the Animated Series. The shows combine classic elements (Lois does not know Superman's secret identity) with new themes and characterizations. Lois's voice is provided by China Beach actress Dana Delaney (along with Wings star Tim Daley as Clark and Superman). This is the toughest Lois Lane since Phyllis Coates and reflects the Lois type in the current comics. In this scene from 1997's "Identity Crisis" Clark and Lois first meet Bizarro, who is disguised as Superman.
